Tami Tracy was 17 years old when she died on January 25, 1990 having been beaten, strangled and sexually assaulted. She was 12 weeks pregnant.
Though the trial judge excluded the killers confession and a videotaped re-enactment of the crime, he was found guilty of second degree murder.
The verdict was appealed.
