In 2005, Vanessa was 6 months pregnant and making dinner for her six year old son when she was attacked and killed in her kitchen.
Her boyfriend, the man who attacked her, was charged with second degree murder and found “not criminally responsible” in 2008.
In 2013 he died in the psychiatric hospital that he was detained in.
